Touch plays a crucial role in this process. Human beings are wired for connection, and touch is one of the most powerful ways to communicate care and support. From a gentle hug to a reassuring pat on the back, physical touch releases oxytocin, often referred to as the "bonding hormone," which enhances feelings of safety and connection. It transcends words, conveying emotions that sometimes can’t be expressed verbally. In moments of joy, sorrow, or comfort, touch deepens our shared reality and reinforces our ties to one another.
Co-regulation, the process of attuning our nervous systems to one another, further amplifies this connection. When we are emotionally in sync with someone else, our physiological states begin to align—heart rates stabilize, breathing becomes more rhythmic, and stress levels decrease. This harmonious interaction creates a safe space where both individuals can be vulnerable and authentic. Attuning to each other's emotional states allows us to navigate challenges together, providing support and understanding when it's needed most.

Driven by a passion for supporting others on their path to embodiment, Mackenzie fosters a safe and encouraging environment for individuals to authentically engage with their healing process. Through her training with Cuddlist, she is a trauma informed practitioner that emphasizes the use of boundaries and consent to make sure each session feels safe for the client.
Her practice, continually evolving and inspired by the rhythms of nature and ancestral wisdom, incorporates elements of ceremony and ritual. Mackenzie’s extensive training includes Healing Touch, Somatic Therapy, Maya Abdominal Massage, Ecstatic Tantra Bodywork, Focusing Oriented Therapy, and Whole Person Coaching. It is with great honor that she joins clients on their transformative journeys.

Hi, my name is Mackenzie
My own struggle with anxiety and panic disorder led me to get curious about the relationship between the mind, body and spirit. Over the years I have learned to use my body as a resource and guide, and I'm passionate in helping others in this process of embodiment. I intend to hold space for others to fully witness themselves and be with their own experience of healing. I am a forever learner, sourcing wisdom from my daily interactions with life and am largely influenced by the cycles of nature. My interest in healing is inspired by the elements and all that came before us. Thank you for witnessing me on my journey and it is an honor to be by your side.

The Transformative Touch style of somatic therapy is a holistic approach to healing that involves the integration of the mind and body. The word "somatic" pertains to the body, and somatic healing recognizes the connection between physical and emotional well-being. This approach emphasizes the body's role in processing and releasing stored emotional trauma from the body.
Somatic support sessions are client led, trauma-informed and based on your own individual needs. Each session will be different but may include holistic, whole person coaching with a somatic approach blended with supportive touch.
